Our farm is named after the cliff and barn swallows who share their habitat with us in the picturesque green, sometimes golden, hills of Valley Ford, California. We are in dairy country located 15 minutes from Bodega Bay, 15 minutes from the town of Occidental and 5 minutes from Valley Ford (population 127).

Happy animals and beautiful environment at Swallow Valley Farm are possible through dedicated, hard working individuals who are passionate about what they do.

Swallow Valley Farm strives to create a "beyond sustainable" business that not only helps the local economy but also the ecological, cultural and physical well-being of people and animals at the farm. We are expanding our sheep dairy and developing new biochar amendments for our soil. As an owner of the farm, B. Nick Colby has long been dedicated to the environment, culture,  science and the well-being of society.
